Geoline has been awarded another channel lining project. We’re putting a team together.
Geoline is an established geo-synthetic supply and installation company that services the Water, Waste, Energy, Defence and Mining industry. Primarily projects for environmental containment of water, solid waste, and irrigation channels.
We are seeking geomembrane welders/installers for a Melbourne based project.
Although experienced technicians are preferred, tradespersons who are looking for a change in career are also encouraged to apply.
Geoline have opportunities available for the following positions:
- Site Supervisors
- Experienced Welding Technicians
- Labourers looking to upskill
What you’ll be doing:
- Installation of geomembrane/plastic sheet.
- Installation of geotextile fabric.
- Installation of poly lock into concrete cut off walls.
- Fusion and Extrusion welding of sheet materials such as HDPE.
- Setting up and maintaining welding equipment.
- Performing quality geomembrane welds that meet industry standards.
- Quality testing, QA of geomembrane welds.
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be physically fit.
- Driver’s licence required.
- Proven experience working as a Geomembrane Technician desirable.
- IAGI / TWI certification desirable but not essential.
- Excavator, Skid steer or Telehandler (CN) tickets highly desirable.
- Motivated and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Be a recognised team player and can work in a team-based environment.
- White Card or Industry Construction equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Commitment and a good attitude towards safety and culture.
- Willingness to grow and develop within a dynamic, changing environment.
- Understand and work to Workplace Health, Safety and Environment (WHS&E) requirements.
- Successful applicants must be able to pass a full medical including drug and alcohol testing before commencing with Geoline.
